What's New

January 2007 Here is a complete update, having neglected this information for quite awhile:

The shop is smoke free and has been for a long time.

My turnaround time on repair and refurbishing will vary but is usually about two weeks. I do not give hard commitments, because sales of new instruments and getting them set up takes priority. I need the instruments for repair or refurbishing here when there is no critical gig or event immediately in front of us. Off season servicing is  recommended.

I have been building prototypes of my own autoharp designs for about a year. Not to be presumptuous, but I am not accepting orders until I have a fixed design and am confident when I can deliver an order. The prototypes and other samples were on display at the Mountain Laurel Autoharp Gathering in PA in June 2006.

My autoharp designs are specifically for diatonic configuration. I may consider doing a unique chromatic at a later time. These instruments are special in every way I can make them and are intended to sell in the $1800-2000 range.

5/16/03 All new model B versions of Oscar Schmidt autoharps have been sold out and will be available by special order only. This is because my version of the Model A Reissue, especially with my exclusive offering of custom fine tuners, is by far the better autoharp, although perhaps not as attractive to some.

October 2006 - I have an exclusive model that is a natural finish version of the black Model A Reissue. It includes fancy trim and is slightly more expensive. The new model is the OS75CN.
