This revision of our store was created in January of 2007. It allowed for addition of many more product items. Reports of problems or suggestions are always welcome and will be considered within the limits of the what the software can provide.
Some service parts, especially those salvaged from older models, are not listed. If you don't see what you need, please contact me at help@autoharpworks.com.
5/9/08 - The site was updated to accept only orders for delivery to and payment from the USA. Exports are negotiable by email, but one should not be encouraged. It just got to be too expensive, too confusing, and too risky for all concerned.
New autoharps are now limited to the entry level 21 bar Chromaharp and the exclusive, custom OS75CN Model A Reissue Natural by Oscar Schmidt. Additional pictures and prices for refurbished, US vintage Oscar Schmidt model B type instruments will be posted as available.
5/6/08 - Setting up an Account and logging in has always been optional, but some changes have been implemented in the layout to make that more clear. If a customer expects to return with another order, perhaps regularly, establishing an account simply relieves having to reenter name and address information. Any Sign In prompts may be ignored. One can place an order without establishing an "account". Without an account or signing in to it, the checkout process will require entry of name and address information for each order.
4/16/08 - A handling fee of $5.00 will be added to an order under $30.00 total, not counting shipping. This is necessary primarily to allow realistic pricing of single replacement strings and small parts. Any player is encouraged to keep a full set of strings available and to buy maintenance items in bulk. This will save on handling charges and get maximum benefit for ever increasing shipping rates. Small orders are welcome as long as allowance is made for it to be worth our time at the prices presented.
5/23/07 - Changes in postal rates and classification of packages may mean that shipping will cost more than the item. For example, a single string costing $1.25 carries a postal rate of $1.31 and is shipped in a $.54 envelope. The shipping rate is then $2.00. Anything more than 1/4" thick, say a tuner or tuning wrench, must go as a parcel at a minimum of $1.64 plus envelope or go as priority mail for $4.60 up to one pound and fitting inside the provided free box. One might then want to order enough items at a time to get the most value from the pack & ship charge.
